Slide Presentation to Ms. Champlin's class

Next, we went down to Ms. Champlin's 1st grade class to give our slide presentation. The students all sat on the carpet and watched and listened. We asked the students what the children of Otsuchi may want right now. Their answers were "a new school!", "water!", and "a whole world back!" What great answers! Nicole showed the students the pictures of Otsuchi children holding a message of what they really want right now. One of the student asked her to read aloud the Japanese writing so they can hear what Japanese sounds like. We also translated it into English what it meant. One student shared her story about making paper cranes with her sister and writing a message inside the paper. Everyone seemed to enjoy learning about Japan and the people of Otsuchi.
