Our last session of the day was to give our slide presentation to students from Ms. Rojo's kindergarten class and Ms. Amador's 1st grade class at the library. The students all had many questions that they wanted to ask and wanted to share their thoughts and comments. We could not keep their hands down. When we asked the students, "what can we do to help the children in Japan?" Their answers were "give food", "money", and "send origami."
Wow! Did we really need to give them our presentation? They knew exactly what we were going to do to help the children in Otsuchi! That's amazing! The answers to our question "what do you think these children really want now?" were "places to sleep", "toys", "stuffed animals", and "family." The students really showed their compassion.
